WITH ARNOT MALL CAR SHOW NOW BEHIND THEM, OUTLAW SPEEDWAY LOOKS TO PRACTICE AND SEASON OPENER

Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.  Promotions and Consulting LLC

(Dundee, NY) With the Arnot Mall in Big Flats, NY as the host venue, Outlaw Speedway successfully put another car show into the books and now track owner, Tyler Siri and his staff can look forward to a pair of practice dates along with the 65th Annual Season opener coming up in early April.

Sponsored by Lane’s Yamaha of Watkins Glen, Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20 were the two days of the Annual Outlaw Speedway Arnot Mall Car Show where several of the drivers and teams that will run weekly at the Yates County venue had the opportunity to show off their 2022 creations.

“I am really pleased with the turnout we had of both cars and fans for the car show, stated Tyler Siri.  It has been a brutal last couple of months with plenty of freezing weather and snow, so this was a welcome relief for people to come out and support the track and the racers on a nice weekend.”

Cars representing many of the classes that race weekly at the track were in attendance as drivers were available to talk to fans, sign autographs and pose for photos and selfies.

“I want to thank Mal Lane and his sons for once again sponsoring the Arnot Mall Outlaw Speedway Car Show.  We have had a wonderful working relationship with Lane’s Yamaha for decades at this track and we look forward to their extensive involvement at Outlaw during the upcoming season.”  That once again according to track owner, Tyler Siri.

Outlaw Speedway had their customary spot in Center Court along with the Sunrise Insulation, Lane’s Yamaha, Shakelton Auto Parts sponsored machine of, The Doctor, Danny Johnson.  Fans had the opportunity to secure their season passes and pick-up their 2022 schedule cards.  Also, the great looking all new line of Outlaw Speedway apparel was available.  In addition, the brand-new Dodge Ram Pace Truck sponsored by Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram of Penn Yan was also proudly displayed in Center Court.

With another successful Outlaw Speedway Car Show now safely into the books, Siri and his staff have little time to prepare for a couple of practice dates set for April 2 and 8 with the Lucas Oil Nationals set to go on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

Numerous improvements at Outlaw were made over the past few seasons including resurfacing and widening the Fast 4/10 of a mile oval and with the car show in the rear-view mirror, Siri and his track preparation crew now have the task of getting the track surface ready after two straight months of bitter cold temperatures and several significant snowstorms.

“Winter did not really show its face till about the middle of January this year and then it got bitter cold for several weeks and we had lots of snow, however I feel confident that we can have everything ready to roll by the time of our first practice date on Saturday, April 2. The facility drains quite well, so we will be in great shape especially after coming off excellent weather that we experienced the past three or four days.”

Grandstand admission for both practice dates is free with a pit entry charge of $25.

As more information becomes readily available heading into the two practice dates including weather updates along with gate and practice times it will be posted at www.Facebook.com/OutlawSpeedway/.
