Blue Heron Construction Presents Full Weekly Program PLUS Sportsman/Street Stock Double Features

DUNDEE, NY – For Immediate Release – June 24th, 2015 –

Blue Heron Construction based out of Jordan, NY proudly presents this week’s program at Black Rock Speedway in Dundee.  A full weekly lineup of Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders and Bandits are slated to take the green flag at 7PM.  The Crates and Street Stocks will also run makeup features- Crate Sportsman from last Friday night and Street Stocks from June 5th.

Certainly the folks from Blue Heron will have their eyes on Ron Cartwright Jr’s 2B in the Modified division, as Cartwright continues to lead the modified point standings by two points.  Cartwright already has a win on the season and came within three or four laps of securing win #2 this past Friday night.

However, ‘The Hurricane’ Steve Paine has come roaring back to life after picking up his third win of 2015 last Friday night.  This rivalry has been heating up over the last few weeks, which should provide an exciting stretch run to Championship Friday on September 4th

When it comes to site work, wastewater treatment plant upgrades and underground wet utility services- nobody provides a better experience than Blue Heron.  Their family-owned operation has three main priorities: accuracy, efficiency and safety.

Blue Heron offers two decades of field experience and is ready to serve you for all of your site work and wet utility needs.  Race fans can contact Blue Heron Construction at (315) 689-6482 or find them online at www.blue-heron-construction.com

This Friday in Crate Sportsman action, the drivers will race in two feature events.  Double features always has teams on edge as you want to avoid problems in feature #1 so you don’t have to load up before the regular program of a qualifying heat and 25-lap feature.

Josh Keesey added his name to the Black Rock win list this season by winning the June 5th make up feature.   Two drivers to keep your eyes on is Doug Smith and ‘The Iceman’ Steve Gray.  Smith has been knocking on the door all season in the Wheeler Motorsports #01 and was one small mistake away from kicking that door in last Friday night.  Steve Gray in the 29g is coming off a win Tuesday at Weedsport and would love nothing more than to go back-to-back with a win at ‘The Rock’.

The Morseman Racing Chassis Street Stocks have been battling hard for wins and a chance at winning the championship and a brand new 2016 MRC Chassis.  Jared Hill has played it safe and consistent in 2015, but took a chance last Friday that paid off with a win in the Jeff Searles Memorial.  Hill extended his point lead but Chuck Winslow and Nate Daggett have been awfully impressive, showing a lot of speed during the month of June.

The M&M Auto Sales & Service IMCA Modifieds look to get back on track Friday night after running double features on June 19th.  Keith Lamphere did not have his best night out, suffering damage and poor finishes in both features.  Todd Stone finally graced victory lane in the June 5th make up feature after showing speed all season long.  Jason Benjamin was strong as well, picking up the win in the time-shortened June 19th feature event.

Rich Sharpsteen has been the dominant force both at Black Rock and Woodhull in 2015.  He has only finished outside the top 10 once in 2015, while racking up 3 feature wins and 7 qualifying heat wins.  Jayson Smart has his season back on track as well and you can never count out Chad Ayers who has his fair share of top 5 finishes in 2015.

Jeff Daugherty has won features in the Creekside Entertainment Bandit division in just about every way possible.  Last Friday he pulled a rabbit out of his hat on the white flag lap to take the feature win.  We will see if Billy Bowers, Brandon Kinner, Pixie Kinner, ShiAnn Labar or Polly Anna Dean have anything to say about that come Friday night.

General admission for this rare 8-feature card is just $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $10 for ages 12-17 and children under 12 are always free at Black Rock Speedway.  Pit gates swing open at 4PM, grandstands open at 5PM with Scott Hixson’s green flag waving for the first time at 7PM sharp.
