MONSTER TRUCKS INVADE YATES COUNTY SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

Get ready for two days of Monster Truck Madness this Friday and Saturday at Yates County Speedway.  Vaters Monster Motorsports will invade the speedway for two awesome shows.

Fans have this event circled on their calendar every year as it is one of the highlights of the season.  The Monster Trucks will join the full show of all divisions of racing on Friday night.  Race time is 7:00 p.m.  Then on Saturday they will return to delight the fans along with Demolition Derbies.  Show time on Saturday is 6:00 p.m.

Fans will be treated to the raw power of Black Stallion, Higher Education, Iron Warrior and Overkill Evolution as they battle it out in racing, wheelie and freestyle competitions.  There will also be a Jet Powered 4-Wheeler that will perform speed runs, burner pops, a flame show and will burn a salvage car to the ground.

Black Stallion should be known as the Monster Jam truck with the most “firsts”.  It was the first Monster Jam Truck to have shocks specifically made for it.  And the driver, Mike Vaters, was the first to design and build a Bypass Tube shock, creating 36 feet of travel.  These tubes later became a common staple on all Monster Jam Trucks.  Vaters and Black Stallion became the first to successfully jump another Monster Jam Truck while driving forward.  Three years later they became the first to jump a Monster Jam Truck, while driving in reverse.

Black Stallion has been a top performer in the sport for three decades and has won several Thunder National series championships, as well as competing at Monster Jam World Finals multiple times.

Iron Warrior’s bold paint job evokes images of heavy metal.  With a riveted look around the edges of the body, bright colorful logos and a deep blue base, Iron Warrior looks more than ready to crush anything in its path.  Driver Trey Meyers has been behind the wheel of the 2009 Ford F-150 for a handful of Monster Jam seasons, but he’s already finding his groove on the Monster Jam tour.

Higher Education will certainly be a favorite among the kids as it is a School Bus Monster Truck.  It is often referred to as the “Cool Bus”. Higher Education is the newest piece of the team based in Hagerstown, Maryland and fielded by Michael and Denise Vaters, joining Black Stallion and Iron Warrior in Monster Jam.

The creators of Overkill Evolution believe their new machine represents the natural progression of Monster Jam Truck technology.  To take their new concept into the future they selected young talent Mike Vaters II to driver the new Overkill Evolution in Monster Jam competition and made a huge impact immediately as the second generation driver powered Overkiill Evolution to the 2014 Young Guns Shootout Championship and claimed the Monster Jam Rookie of the Year award.

We will offer something for all of the Motorsports enthusiasts out there.  Friday they will join a full show of racing featuring the 602 Crate Sportsman, Street Stocks, Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, 305 Sprint Cars, Four Cylinders and Bandits.  Race time is 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday get ready for a display of raw power mixed with total destruction.  The Monster Trucks and Jet Powered 4-Wheeler will be joined by the smash and crash excitement of Demolition Derby’s.  Show time on Saturday is 6:00 p.m.

Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors age 62 and older, $8 for kids age 13-17, $5 for kids age 6-12 and all kids age 5 and under are free.
