(Dundee, NY) Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler Siri and his staff will once again welcome back the Short Track Super Series to the track on Thursday, July 10, 2025. The highly popular, Brett Deyo promoted STSS will converge on the Yates County Oval in a unique Thursday Night Thunder event pitting many of the Outlaw Speedway regular competitors such as Alex Payne, Mike Maresca, Kreg Crooker, Tommy Collins, The Hurricane Steve Paine, “The Doctor” Danny Johnson, local Dundee native Brady Fultz against the likes of standout traveling series drivers Super Matt Sheppard, Antman Anthony Perrigo, Smooth Shoe Mike Mahaney and The Big Freeze Stewart Friesen who came away with last year’s victory.
Track owner/promoter, Tyler Siri also owns a fleet of potent Modifieds which will see action as hired guns, Bobby Varin, Stacy Jackson and Pat Ward will join Siri attempting to keep the invaders out of victory lane.
“We are extremely excited to have Brett Deyo and his STSS make a return trip to Outlaw Speedway in 2025, stated Tyler Siri. The guys that travel and compete in the Short Track Super Series are all top-notch drivers with good equipment and it is going to be a challenge for any of our Modified regular competitors to pull off the win against the invaders that will be coming to the track.”
Brett Deyo is equally excited about his touring group making a return engagement to Outlaw Speedway in “25”. “The teams that follow the series are looking forward to heading back to the Fast 4/10 of a Mile at Outlaw Speedway, claimed Deyo. The track conditions have been impressive there the past couple of years and Tyler has a group of regular drivers including his own team that are going to be tough to beat when we head up there on July 10.”
Outlaw Speedway’s STSS event will be a 50-lap feature event paying a huge purse including $7078.78 to win plus a staggering number of bonuses and incentives will be shared by numerous drivers at the completion of the event.
Tenth place will pay $1,000 and it is $500 to start the 50-lap grind.
Joining the Mighty Modifieds as part of the Dave Machuga Memorial will be the American Racer Tire shod Knapp and Schlappi Lumber 602 Crate Sportsman with the winner pocketing $2078.78.
A pair of former Outlaw Track Champions, King Karl Comfort and Chris Fisher as well as other top runners in Blake Parsons, Dale Welty, Tim Guild and many more will be on hand all looking for the big check and trophy for winning the Dave Machuga Memorial for the Crate Sportsman Division.
The classy Swarthout Recycling Street Stocks led by Outlaw Speedway top competitors like Jimmy Grant, Shane Wolf, Glenn Whritenour, Jared Hill, CJ Guererri and last year’s Track Champ Gene Sharpsteen will also be on the card for the July 10 event.
The winner of the Street Stock A Main will take home $1,778.78.
Completing the aggressive night of action will be the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks racing for $1078.78 to win plus lap money and other bonuses.
The 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks that compete are a mixture of both Front and Rear Wheel Driven machines racing under Outlaw Speedway Rules.
The $78.78 is symbolic with the number 78 that Machuga ran throughout most of his career.
All competitors will receive 30 Show-up points towards the 2025 Outlaw Speedway Class championship battles.
Previous winners of the Short Track Super Series Event at Outlaw Speedway include Matt Sheppard, Stewart Friesen, Steve Paine and Cory Costa.
The 3rd Annual Dave Machuga Memorial will be the only event held at the track during this week as Outlaw Speedway will be dormant on Friday, July 11.
Dave Machuga was a long-time competitor at several northeast venues both dirt and asphalt. During the time that he did compete and long after he hung it up, he was a noted fabricator designing and building his own chassis for himself plus a who’s who list of local race teams.
Right up till the time of his passing Machuga also worked at the Outlaw Speedway doing repair work and he could be found each race night in the pit area providing welding service for racers that needed his services.
All gate opening times and ticket prices for both pit and grandstand seating can be found at www.Facebook.com/OutlawSpeedwayLLC/.
As always, camping is free of charge and the track encourages fans to bring along their rig and spend the night.
Outlaw Speedway offers two beer concessions. The Turn 4 Tavern is in the Grandstand Seating Area and the Outlaw Saloon is in the pit area. Both watering holes offer a large variety of iced cold beer.
The Saloon also offers a top deck observation area where fans can enjoy an unobstructed view of the race action on the Fast 4/10 of a Mile Oval.
For those that cannot attend the July 10, 2025, Thursday Night Thunder Dave Machuga Memorial all the action will be televised live on Flo Racing.
