MOTHER NATURE CLAIMS SEASON OPENING LUCAS OIL NATIONALS AT OUTLAW SPEEDWAY.

Track will be open for practice on Sunday, April 7, 2024, with gates at 11.:00 am and practice at 1:00 pm

(Dundee, NY) April can be an uncertain month when trying to open a northeast racetrack.  Sometimes it is sunny with unseasonably warm temperatures and other years it can be wet and cold.  This year it has been the latter thus far and with a threat or more inclement weather and very cold temperatures, Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler Siri has decided to pull the plug on his 9th Annual Lucas Oil Nationals which was set for Friday and Saturday, April 5-6, 2024

“We had a fantastic practice day last Sunday with a great turnout of cars with a smooth and wide racing surface.  Since then, Mother Nature has taken over with plenty of precipitation and cold temperatures for this Friday and Saturdays activities, so I am just going to cancel early allowing our racers and fans to make other plans.”  That according to Siri.

However, with a much more favorable forecast on Sunday, April 7, Siri will open the facility back up for practice with gates opening at 11:00 am with hot laps beginning at 1:00 pm.

“It will be the same scenario as last week with Free Grandstand Admission and a $30 pit entry.  Concessions will be open on both sides for both fans and racers.  Teams will get plenty of track time.”

That will set up the following weekends order of business with Lucas Oil returning as the headline sponsor of the 2nd Annual Cal Lane Memorial Spring Nationals on April 12 and 13.

“Siri then went on to exclaim that, “The Cal Lane Memorial is especially important to Outlaw Speedway.  We have a fantastic program line-up including the ESS 360 Sprints, Modifieds, 602 Crate Sportsman, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks along with the inaugural appearance of the SCDRA Front Wheel Drive 4 Cylinders and it will all be presented by Lucas Oil.”

The 2023 Cal Lane Memorial Spring Nationals was unfortunately lost to rain and cold temperatures however it was then made up in September as part of the Outlaw Speedway Fall Nationals.

A complete press release regarding the 2024 Cal Lane Lucas Oil Nationals will be issued within the next 24-48 hours where much more information will be released regarding the two- day event on April 12 and 13.
