OUTLAW SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2023 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.

(Dundee, NY) Not wasting any time, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri has released his 2023 schedule of events.

“Generally, I try and get the race schedule out prior to the first of the year so that teams and fans can make their plans for the upcoming season.  2023 will mark my eighth season owning the track and this upcoming year could be our best with a mix of specials for all the weekly classes plus several touring groups.”  That according to Tyler Siri.

In what has become a tradition since taking ownership of the historic Yates County oval, Siri will once again highlight such events like the Cal Lane Memorial Spring Nationals, Steve Kent Memorial Summer Nationals and the Outlaw Fall Nationals along with the lid lifter Lucas Nationals and the season ending Dutch Hoag Memorial.

Sandwiched in between is a host of many specials that have made Outlaw Speedway the place to be every weekend throughout the season including a pair of Tezos FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint car events on May 18 and on NASCAR Night, August 18.

The Short Track Super Series will return for an event on June 6 and the RUSH Crate Late Models will visit the Finger Lakes Region by invading Outlaw on May 26 to open Memorial Day Weekend.

With the demise of the Patriot Sprint Tour at the end of 2022, Siri will adjust by booking the Empire Super Sprints numerous times throughout the season.

CRSA Sprints and the ULMS Super Late Models will be on the 2023 schedule.

Other tribute events throughout the season include Roy Silvers, Mike Jackson, Gary Montgomery, Gene Dupuy and Dave Machuga.

Dotted within the 2023 schedule will be Mother’s Day, Little League, Active Duty, Girls and Boys Club, EMS and American Legion Nights as well as the Largest Fireworks Extravaganza in the Finger Lakes Region on June 30.

King of the Ring Events for all adult classes as well as 1 on 1 Spectator events will be staged

After a rousing success last year, Siri will once again exercise his option of giving teams, fans and employees three “Nights Off” during the year with those coming June 9, July 21 and August 25.

“Everyone needs a break throughout the season.  Money gets tight and everyone needs to relax occasionally.  There are times when we need to do work at the facility that we can not do racing every week, so the “Nights Off” are well received by everyone.”  That once again according to Siri.

The 2023 season will officially kick off with the Outlaw Speedway/Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show on March 10-12.  This promises to be a huge event with the two popular Upstate New York venues teaming up for the first time in two decades.

The first practice night is set for April 1 and from there it is full speed ahead as Outlaw Speedway will begin its 66th consecutive season of great race action.
