GARY MONTGOMERY MEMORIAL ALL SET FOR MAY 26, 2023 AT OUTLAW SPEEDWAY
Rush Crate Late Models to headline the $3,000 to win event which also features a Super 7 Show.
Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.
(Dundee, NY) Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler will kick-off the Memorial Day Weekend in a huge way as the Vicki Emig promoted RUSH Crate Late Model Series will make its lone appearance at the historic Yates County oval on Friday, May 26, 2023.
According to Siri, “I have worked closely with Vicki over the past several years to book the RUSH Late Models on the same date. Gary Montgomery was a huge figure in local racing circles, and it is with a great deal of pleasure that we will once again open the Memorial Day Weekend with the running of the Gary Montgomery Memorial.”
Montgomery was an announcer, promoter, general manager as well as a figure on the Motorsports Racing Network for many years. He was leader and his presence in the local motorsports arena has greatly missed since his passing in 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.
The RUSH Crate Late Models will make their only appearance at Outlaw as the highly popular division will feature many drivers returning back to the facility where they had previously seen great success.
Pilots like Bryce Davis, Jeremy and Mike Wonderling, John Waters, Brian and Jason Knowles and Chad Homan will all be heavily favored when the popular touring group returns to Outlaw Speedway on May 26, 2023.
Also, on the aggressive card of events it will be the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds, the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire Sportsman as well as the Knapp and Schlappi Lumber DIRTcar Hoosier Tire Sportsman Divisions.
The Brock’s Bowl and Pizzeria Street Stocks, NAPA Hobby Stocks, Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks, the Swarthout Recycling Rookie Sportsman and the Fritz Masonry Youth Bandits round the card.
All gate times and admission prices for the May 26 show will be posted on Facebook along with other valuable information including weather related matters.
