OUTLAW SPEEDWAY PREPARES FOR THEIR ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET

Friday, February 24, 2023 is the date for the seventh annual affair.

Story by Kenny Shupp Jr

(Dundee, NY) Outlaw Speedway track owner and promoter, Tyler Siri is pleased to announce that the Harbor Hotel, located along the southern shore of Seneca Lake in Watkins Glen, NY will be the setting for the 7th Annual Outlaw Speedway Awards Banquet.

“We are glad to return to the Harbor Hotel for this season’s awards festivities where we will honor our 2022 top point finishers, stated Siri. In 2021 with all the restrictions surrounding Covid 19 we had to make some adjustments due to the strict NYS guidelines on limiting dining space to half capacity.  In 2022 things have opened back up and we were thrilled to be back in Watkins Glen at the Harbor Hotel with full capacity.”

Friday, February 24, 2023 is the date for the annual awards affair with cocktail hour along with hors d’oeuvers starting at 6 PM.  A mouthwatering buffet style prime rib dinner will be served at 7 pm followed by the traditional awards ceremony where all the 2022 Outlaw Speedway Track Champions will be honored.

Historically Outlaw Speedway holds their awards ceremony in January, however due to scheduling conflicts this year’s event is pushed back to late February.

In addition, the top ten in the decisive point standings for all of Outlaw’s seven weekly adult classes of competition will receive awards and point fund money.

Ajay Potrzebowski Jr. of Elmira, NY will receive a check for $5,000 for picking up his first ever Outlaw Speedway Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modified track title.

Other 2022 Track Champions include Chris Fisher in the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire 602 Crate Sportsman Division along with AJ Lloyd who claimed his first ever Speed Connection DIRTcar Hoosier Tire 602 Sportsman title.

CJ Guererri will be highlighted as the 2022 Stan’s No Tubes Street Stock Champ with James Randall claiming the track title in the Swarthout Recycling 600 Mod Division.

The NAPA Sponsored Hobby Stock Class will find Marc Minutolo claiming his fourth division title in the past five seasons and Jason Smart will receive his recognition as the overall champion in the Winner’s Circle Deli 4 Cylinder Mini Stock Division.

Last but certainly not least, Elle Grant will receive the hardware for picking up the Outlaw Speedway Youth Bandit Division Track Championship.

All drivers receiving trophies and point fund money must be present and asked to come dressed in appropriate attire.

In addition to all the hardware and cash that track owner, Tyler Siri will dish out, he will also present numerous special awards including Rookie, Sportsman, Media, Dedication to Motorsports, Employee of the Year, Car Owner of the Year as well as many other special awards that he traditionally hands out.

It is well known that Siri shows much appreciation to his track sponsors and employees and the 2022 awards ceremony will be no different.
