OUTLAW SPEEDWAY INCREASES MODIFIED WINNERS SHARE TO $7,500 TO CLAIM THE CAL LANE MEMORIAL ON SATURDAY, APRIL 15, 2023

Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.

(Dundee, NY) Here we grow again!!!

Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri has upped the first- place share for whichever Modified driver comes away victorious in the inaugural Cal Lane Memorial set for this Saturday, April 15 at the historic Yates County venue.

“With this weekend’s event being the inaugural running of the Lanes Yamaha sponsored Cal Lane Memorial, I have boosted the winners share of the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modified feature from the original posted $3,500 up to a whomping $7,500 with the potential of even more growth.  There are few, if any, Modified tracks running this weekend in this region, so we should get a huge car count.  By increasing the Modified feature winners share from $3,500 to $7,500 it should get the attention of every Modified team in the northeast.”  That according to Siri.

Special thanks goes out to Calvin Lane’s two brothers, Malcolm and Gene Lane along with Lane’s Yamaha and Shuttleworth Pavement Sealing of Geneva for putting up the added money to push the winners share to $7,500.

The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Mod Squad will headline the April 15 show complimented by the ESS 360 Sprints along with a pair of 602 Crate Sportsman classes in the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire and the Speed Connection DIRTcar Hoosier Tire Divisions.  Rounding out the Great 8 Show will be the Stan’s No Tubes Street Stocks, the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks along with the NAPA Hobby Stocks and the Swarthout Recycling Rookie Sportsman.

The weekend gets underway on Friday, April 14 with practice and Dash Qualifying events to set the front row for all classes that will be competing on Saturday as part of the Cal Lane Memorial.

Gate times and admission prices for both Friday and Saturday will be posted at www.Facebook.com/OutlawSpeedwayLLC/.

Camping is free all weekend with free rides on Outlaw Crusher, the tracks Monster Truck.

Currently the weather forecast looks extremely favorable with abnormally warm and sunny conditions all weekend as the track will wrap up a pair of opening unique events prior to heading into the first regular season points paying show on Friday, April 21.

“We have had a great week of hot, windy and dry weather to get the racing surface dried out and compacted.  I have also had a crew at the track doing paint and polishing as we are trying to take advantage of the awesome weather.  A lot of this type of maintenance doesn’t get done till later in the season.   We are taking advantage of perhaps one of the earliest Spring seasons in history.  We will be in great shape for this weekend” That again according to track owner, Tyler Siri.
