SCHEDULE CHANGE WILL FIND OUTLAW SPEEDWAY RACING ON FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2020
Kenny Shupp Jr. PR Director
(Dundee, NY) It was recently announced that the Outlaw Speedway will make a change to their 2020 schedule.
Generally, the facility remains silent on graduation night which this year would be Friday, June 26. However, with the multitude of changes surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic including a complete readjustment of numerous high school graduation ceremonies throughout the region coupled with Governor Cuomo’s stringent guidelines on social distancing and limited gatherings, Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler made a late decision to race on that particular night.
In addition, the track has already lost no less than a dozen scheduled events due to the Coronavirus shut down further prompting Siri to re-open the track for competition on June 26.
“We have lost a bunch of high-profile special events plus regular shows thus far in 2020 stated Siri. Many will not be made up due to scheduling conflicts, but the racers and their supporters that compete at this facility want to race every chance we can give them thus the decision to make it a go on June 26.”
Pit gates for the June 26, 2020 show will swing open at 5:30 pm with hot laps at 6:30 pm. The first green flag will wave promptly at 7:30 pm.
On the track it will be a Regular Super 7 Show featuring the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, jeep, Ram Modifieds along with the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire Crate Sportsman. Also, on the card it will be the Hoosier Tire Crate Sportsman along with the Stan’s No Tubes Street Stocks and the Mighty 4 Cylinder’s. In addition, the IMCA Modifieds will see action along with the companion IMCA Hobby Stocks. The Winner’s Circle Deli Bandits will round out the night of action.
Due to the continued stringent New York State protocol surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic, fans will not be allowed into the main grandstand seating area, however pit access is available and those entering will be held to strict rules including wearing of masks and practicing social distancing.
The event will once again be able for viewing on the Dirt Track Digest TV network and to obtain access simply log on at www.dirttrackdigest.tv for more details.
