For Immediate Release – October 21st, 2016 –
(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – Outlaw Speedway owner and promoter Tyler Siri is happy to announce the date and location for the 2016 season awards banquet. For the first time in speedway history, the season-ending awards ceremony will take place at the Harbor Hotel located on Seneca Lake in historic Watkins Glen, N.Y.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Harbor on what will be a big night for all of our drivers,” said Siri. “We’re going to offer our banquet tickets starting this weekend at the speedway, and will charge only what is necessary to cover expenses for the event. We have held several of our officiating staff meetings here and their staff is first class.”
The Harbor Hotel will put on an enticing dinner and cash bar that will precede the annual handing out of point fund awards and special awards as determined by speedway officials. As has been done in the past, a driver must be present at the banquet to receive their point fund awards.
Tickets will go on sale at the pit shack as well as at the pay window this weekend, with tickets being $40 per person. Hotel accommodations are available on-site and more information regarding those accommodations will be forthcoming in the offseason, as well as the post-banquet entertainment.
Drivers Steve Paine, Chris Fisher, Jason Knowles, Shawn Bruce, Chuck Winslow, Erica Bell, Codie Baker and Austin Labar will all be crowned as 2016 track champions.
