(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – As they have done countless times in 2016, Outlaw Speedway is stepping out to give back to the Dundee/Yates County community on Friday night.  Outlaw Speedway and the Dundee Food Pantry are once again teaming up to sponsor the second canned food drive of the season.

Race fans planning to enter the grandstands for general admission are encouraged to bring four canned food items per person, in exchange for FREE general admission to the races.  If a fan can’t make it to the grocery store or forgets their canned food items, a generous $5 cash donation to the Dundee Food Pantry will also be accepted for admission to the races.

After several busy weeks of special races and weekend-long events, it’s back to the traditional racing card of all divisions with heats and features.  Outlaw Speedway owner Tyler Siri is excited to give back to the community, just one week after a lengthy but one of the biggest nights of the season.

“We know last week went a little past midnight, but we didn’t feel right excluding anyone from that big show with all the MRO representatives and celebrity drivers in the pit area,” explained Siri when contacted Thursday.

“MRO night is one of the biggest nights all season for us and one of the most anticipated.  The rain shower at eleven o’clock also set us back on time.  With all of that said, this is the perfect week to offer our free admission/canned food drive, and give back to the community that supports us through thick and thin.  Without the support of the Dundee community, Outlaw Speedway could not exist.”

The last canned food drive at the speedway supplied the Dundee Food Pantry for at least six months.  This week’s canned food drive, held in late Summer, will undoubtedly help the pantry serve their community for even longer.

With free admission this Friday, fans are reminded that Outlaw Speedway will not allow outside food or beverage onto the grounds.  The exception to this is alcohol, as Outlaw Speedway does not serve any alcoholic beverages at the speedway.  Fans are allowed, as they have been all season, a six-pack of cans per fan into the grandstand area.  No glass bottles of any kind will be permitted by Outlaw Speedway security.

The racing card will see competition for the Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits competing in their ten-lap feature event.

Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway.  Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. Pit gates will open at 4:00PM, with pit passes being $30 for this great show planned on Friday night.
