Something For Everyone At Three-Day Outlaw Speedway Weekend

(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – Tyler Siri and the staff at Outlaw Speedway are ready to embark on their first three-day weekend of racing, car shows and good country music since Siri took over ownership of the Dundee, NY facility over five months ago.
The Midsummer Meltdown weekend will have plenty of racing and plenty of big names to compliment such a big weekend. David and Buzzie Reutimann will be in competition Friday and Saturday night, David in a Modified and Buzzie slated to race a Crate Sportsman Modified.
Modified talent ‘The Doctor’ Danny Johnson has been confirmed for Friday night’s regular points show, with Saturday’s plans for CG Racing still up in the air. The driver from Phelps will look to make it two straight seasons that he has picked up a checkered flag at the Yates County oval.
Friday will see RK Howell Gravel Products present a regular show except for the Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds, who have the week off to participate in the IMCA Empire State Series event at I-88 Speedway in Afton.
The Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits will all be in action. The top three finishers in the Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Four Cylinders will all earn guaranteed starting spots in Saturday night’s program presented by Superior Crushing.
Race fans are reminded that Outlaw Speedway does not sell alcohol, but fans are allowed to bring in a six-pack of cans per person with glass bottles not being admitted into the speedway. However, Saturday and Sunday will not allow outside alcohol into the facility as local craft brewery, Climbing Bines, of Dresden, NY will be on hand selling several varieties of their locally popular craft beer.
General admission gates open Friday night at 5:00PM and will be $12 for ages 13 and up. Seniors 62 years of age and older will be $10. Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway. Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. Pit gates will open at 4:00PM, with pit passes being $30 for this great show planned on Friday night.
Saturday will see Superior Crushing present the racing card that includes a $3,000-to-win Big Block/Small Block Modified event. The Super Gen Products Grit Racing Series will also be on hand for a $1,000-to-win event paying $100-to-start. Also on the agenda will be the Fight Night All Star Street Stock Series, which pays $700-to-win and $75-to-start. The Super Gen Products/Champion Power Equipment CRSA 305 Sprint Tour will also race for $500-to-win. The Four Cylinders will also race Outlaw/Woodhull rules for a top prize of $500.
The Pit Area opens at 3PM Saturday, with hot laps at 5PM and racing kicking off at 6PM.
Saturday’s events will start out with a breakfast special at the concession stand from 8AM-10AM. Baby back ribs are the outdoor pit grill special, where teams and fans can purchase a half rack of ribs dinner with two sides for $15.00 and a full rack for $20.00.
Sunday morning will kick off Summer Jam 2016 with another breakfast special at the concession stand from 8AM-10AM and a chicken barbecue later in the day for $10.00.
$10 admission will admit fans and car lovers all day for the Hot Rod and Bike show that takes the green flag at 10AM. At 1:30PM, the country music concert on the front stretch of the race track will kick off with Small Town Shade, Devon Franks and Bad Water entertaining fans all afternoon.

Outlaw Speedway is located at 82 Main St in Dundee, NY and holds dirt track racing weekly on Friday nights from mid-April through Labor Day Weekend in September. The speedway also hosts special events on the grounds with special races run during the fall months of September and October.
