(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – Outlaw Speedway, it’s fans and competitors will honor a young man that was lost two offseasons ago with the second annual Jeff Searles Memorial Races as well as Fire and EMS Night sponsored by the Searles family and Cam Sutherland & Sons Construction.

Searles was a fixture in the Dundee, NY pit area for several years dating back to the 90’s.  He was a spirited race fan who grew up in the Sutherland racing family.  ‘Jeffy,’ as he was known by anyone he called a friend, took his position in the turn two grandstand every Friday night to cheer on his favorites.

Jeffy always had his trademark red rag that he waved with purpose as he cheered on his favorites and flagged down cars that he felt weren’t following officials’ instructions.  He lit up the pit area, loved motorsports and without a doubt was the race fan that had the most fun out of anyone on Friday nights.

For the second year in a row, Outlaw Speedway is proud to promote the Jeff Searles Memorial races with support from Jeff’s family and local construction business Cam Sutherland & Sons Construction.

In addition, fans are encouraged to bring a red rag with them or take one that is passed out upon entry to the gates.  On the wave lap of each division Friday night, fans will be instructed to wave their red rags in tribute to our friend that is greatly missed.  Racers are encouraged to tie a red rag for Jeffy on the passenger side of their car for the race night on Friday.

In addition to the Searles Memorial, it is also Fire and EMS Night.  Local fire department volunteers and EMS personnel will be admitted to the grandstand area free of charge with proper department identification.  Race fans are reminded that Outlaw Speedway does not sell alcohol, but fans are allowed to bring in a six-pack of cans per person with glass bottles not being admitted into the speedway.

The Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits competing in their ten-lap feature event.

General admission gates open Friday night at 5:00PM and will be $12 for ages 13 and up.  Seniors 62 years of age and older will be $10. Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway.  Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. Pit gates will open at 4:00PM, with pit passes being $30 for this great show planned on Friday night.
