(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – Mac’s Dairy Bar & Mini Golf, located on State Route 14A just South of the village of Penn Yan, presents the 2016 return of the 1-on-1 Spectator Races this Friday night.

A popular night at the speedway in years past returns as race fans will have the opportunity to compete in a match race, single-elimination style event during intermission before the feature events begin.  The rules for the event simply state that the vehicle must be road legal, registered and insured and cannot be towed in on a trailer in order to compete.  All 1-on-1 competitors must wear a full-faced helmet for safety.

There is no entry fee for the spectator races, but each driver must enter the pit area and purchase a pit pass for access to the pit area.  Vehicles will be staged inside the back pit gate until the competition begins during intermission.

Mac’s Dairy Bar has stepped up their marketing presence with Outlaw Speedway in 2016.  They sponsored an infield billboard last season and increased their involvement, being not only a Victory Lane sponsor but a nightly presenting sponsor as well.

They have also run several successful promotions for race fans, offering $1 off their Mac’s Dairy Bar purchase when presenting their ticket stub from Outlaw Speedway on select Saturday’s during the Summer.  The increased effort with area motorsports has been beneficial in talking to Mac’s Dairy Bar co-owner Theresa Multer.

“We are new to marketing in motorsports the last two seasons,” said Multer when contacted Tuesday.  “But although we are new, we have already seen an increase in sales that we can directly point to motorsports being the contributing source.”

The new improvements and buzz with a new ownership team and facility facelift sparked their interest in being involved at a higher level.

“We see the difference Tyler’s group has made this season and Peter and his staff have been more than accommodating to our needs and ideas as marketing partners,” said Multer.

Mac’s Dairy Bar offers a wide variety of soft serve ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and the largest selection of Hershey’s hard ice cream flavors in the area.  Their iconic A-frame ice cream shop on 14A has been open since 1974, with the Multer family taking over in 2012.  They have completely renovated the ice cream building and just finished a complete renovation of their 18-hole Mini Golf course just one month ago.

You can find Mac’s Dairy Bar on Facebook and Twitter as well as on their website www.macsdairybar.com

One top of 1-on-1 spectator night, the racing card will see competition for the Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits competing in their ten-lap feature event.

The RUSH Crate Late Model Series has an event at Ransomville Speedway on Friday night.  Therefore, Outlaw’s Crate Late Model division will be off but track owner Tyler Siri is offering three hot lap sessions for any interested Late Model teams.  The first and last hot lap sessions of the night and a final session after the races are over.

General admission gates open Friday night at 5:00PM and will be $12 for ages 13 and up.  Seniors 62 years of age and older will be $10. Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway.  Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. Pit gates will open at 4:00PM, with pit passes being $30 for this great show planned on Friday night.
