(DUNDEE N.Y.) – Creekside Entertainment Street Stock driver, Allison Teed, may be younger than most of her competitors, but is not one to fade into the background. This young driver has 10 years of experience behind the wheel already, and is motivated to continue to learn and succeed as a driver.

The 17-year-old out of Reading Center, NY, started her racing career at just 7 years old. Her father started her out in a Go-Kart class, which she raced for 4 years, before making her way up to 4-Cylinders. Teed was a competitor in the Bandit class when the track was known as Black Rock Speedway in her 4-Cylinder until she reached the age limit for the class.

Teed now pilots her #14 Street Stock every Friday night at Outlaw Speedway. As a new driver to the class, Teed was asked in an interview what keeps her motivated each week?

She responded, “I feel like it’s just been a part of me, it’s always been something that I love, and I’m not really good in the Street Stocks right now but that always pushes me to get better each week.”

As a senior at Watkins Glen high school, Teed has more on her plate than just racing. She plays for the Watkins Glen Senecas on the varsity basketball team, which holds the Section IV Championship title for the second year in a row, as well as varsity soccer and softball. This tri-sport athlete also balances a part time job amongst her racing, sports, and education.

As her graduation is quickly approaching, Teed has plans to attend Corning Community College to obtain a degree in nursing, as well as represent the Corning Red Barons on the CCC basketball team.

High School graduation and starting her college life isn’t going to be the end of this driver’s racing career though. Teed plans on continuing on in the Street Stock class at Outlaw Speedway until she feels comfortable and satisfied with her improvements as a driver.

Although, Street Stock isn’t where she wants to stay. The young driver expressed hopes to move up yet again, to race in the Sportsman class as she gains more experience behind the wheel.
