For Immediate Release – June 16th, 2016 –
(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – This Friday night at Outlaw Speedway will see the winged warriors of the Patriot Sprint Tour return to the fast four-tenths-mile for an action-packed show.
Friday will be the third attempt at getting the Patriot Sprint Tour’s first of three scheduled events at Outlaw Speedway in the books. The first date was lost to rain, followed by the second show being rescheduled after Outlaw Speedway official called an audible to run the popular ‘Thursday Night Thunder’ event.
The A-Verdi Storage Containers & Mike Emhof Motorsports Patriot Sprint Tour is set to return to the newly named Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY on Friday, June 17 and then to the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday June 18 for the Joe Whitcomb Memorial.
This will be the 40th time the Patriot Sprint Tour will be heading to Outlaw Speedway, which has hosted more Patriot Sprint Tour events than any other track in series history. Jared Zimbardi, of Bradford, PA currently leads the American Series Standings with two wins so far at Albany-Saratoga Speedway and Woodhull Raceway. Teenage driver Dane Lorenc currently rides second in points over Paul Habeck. Dave Just is fourth in points with Pete Richardson and Steve Glover tied for fifth in the standings.
This will be the first of three events the Patriot Sprint Tour will be heading to Outlaw Speedway as they will be a part of MRO Night in August. They will then come back on Friday September 23 when the drivers of the Patriot Sprint Tour take on the drivers of the Empire Super Sprints and the United Racing Club.
Jared Zimbardi won the two events at Outlaw Speedway last season, but he is only a part of a long list of winners who have made it to victory lane over the 39 race history at the Yates County Speed plant. Other drivers who have won at Outlaw and to keep an eye on for this weekend are: Bryan Howland, Chuck Hebing, George Suprick, and Justin Barger.
The Patriot Sprint Tour will be joined on the racing card by full events for the Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman and Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds. A feature-only format will be in effect for the Crate Late Models, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits.
General admission gates open Friday night at 4:30PM and will be $20 for ages 13 and up. Seniors 62 years of age and older will be $18. Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway. Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. Pit gates will open at 3:00PM, with pit passes being $35 for this great show planned on Friday night.
