For Immediate Release – June 7th, 2016 –
(Dundee, NY) – A deteriorating radar and a strong threat for more rain during the early evening hours has forced Outlaw Speedway owner Tyler Siri and Short Track Super Series promoter Brett Deyo to use their scheduled rain date of Wednesday June 8th.
"We have been monitoring the weather all day with Brett and with so many teams traveling from longer distances for a series race like this, we have to take that into consideration," said Siri. "The last thing you want to do is have someone haul 4-6 hours to race at your facility, only to get rained out when they arrive."
This now sets up the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series fueled by VP 'Ultimate Outlaw 50' for Wednesday night with the first green flag scheduled for 7PM. The Short Track Super Series will be joined by the Grit Crate Sportsman, Fight Night Street Stock Series and the '4 Banger Shootout' paying $600-to-win and $300 for second place.
This will be the best attended Modified race at Outlaw Speedway in 2016 and is a cannot miss for the local Modified fan contingent. Upwards of 150 cars, maybe even more, is expected across the four divisions. Pit gates will open at approximately 4PM with grandstands opening at 5PM. Pit passes are $35, with grandstand admission being $20 for adults 13 and up, $18 for senior citizens and children 12 and under being free. There is free camping on site at every Outlaw Speedway event.
The same race night schedule that has been posted on the Facebook page will remain intact for the make up show on Wednesday evening.
