For Immediate Release – April 29th, 2016
(DUNDEE, N.Y.) - Mother Nature just won't cut Outlaw Speedway a break in 2016.
For the second weekend in a row, wet weather is the story and the reason why the speedway's Grand Opening will have to wait one more week. The major threat of rain slated to start mid-afternoon and not stop until well after race time forced new Outlaw Speedway owner Tyler Siri to cancel the night's schedule of events.
"This is definitely a bummer because we are so excited to welcome our great fans and show off the work we have put in this off season," said Siri when contacted Friday. "We will give it a go again next weekend when we welcome the Patriot Sprint Tour."
With the Grand Opening moved back to Friday May 6th, another double-dip headlining show will take center stage as Mike Emhof's Patriot Sprint Tour returns on Mother's Day Night at the Dundee, NY speedway. It will once again be a headline of Dirt Modifieds and 360 Sprint Cars with the Friendly Dodge & Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds racing for $2,000-to-win and $200-to-start.
Rain checks from the Outlaw Spring Nationals will now be good for either next week's Patriot Sprint Show OR the May 20th Outlaw Spring Nationals which was rescheduled from the April 22nd rainout. 50/50 tickets from April 22nd will be added to the May 20th drawing, so hold on to those tickets!
General admission gates open next Friday night at 5PM and will be $20 for adults, with Seniors and ages 13-17 being $18. Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway. Pit passes next Friday will be $35 with pit gates opening at 4:30PM unless otherwise specified.
Jared Zimbardi is likely to lead the Patriot brigade as he has won 40% of the last 10 360 sprint car races at Outlaw Speedway. Can he do it again? Or will Kyle Drum, Bryan Howland and Outlaw Speedway dominator George Suprick have a say in who takes home the first 360 checkered flag under the new Outlaw Speedway name?
The headliners will be joined by the Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Bandits. More information on the Friday May 6th show will be fortchcoming, stay tuned to www.outlawspeedwayllc.com for more information.
