For Immediate Release – May 3rd, 2016

(DUNDEE, N.Y.) - Dirt track racing and good country music.  Two things that just go together, like PB &J.

Outlaw Speedway plans to bring both of these together along with David and Buzzie Reutimann in a weekend-long festival of speed and sound that has never taken place at the Yates County facility.  But on July 29th through the 31st, race fans and country music fans will share the grounds for what has been titled 'Outlaw Summer Jam 2016'.

"We are really looking forward to this big weekend in July," said Outlaw Speedway owner Tyler Siri.  "If you love dirt track racing, history, country music or all three- we will have something for you on Summer Jam Weekend."

Friday night and Saturday night will feature racing action on the four-tenths-mile dirt track, while Sunday will boast a country music concert with a car show and festival-style atmosphere during the day.  One Nashville recording artist and two local country acts will full the music card on Sunday July 31st.

The Reutimann's, David and Buzzie, will also be in competition this weekend on both Friday and Saturday night.  David will jump aboard a Siri-owned modified, while Buzzie will climb into a Crate Sportsman for the weekend.  They will compete in the regular show Friday night and then in the $3,000-to-win Modified Special and Super Gen Products Grit Racing Series 'Slobberknocker' on Saturday, respectively.

Racing action will see a regular points show on Friday July29th for all of Outlaw's normal divisions like the Friendly Dodge and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits.  The format for this show will be draw/redraw, unlike the normal handicap system that is in place weekly.

For the Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Four Cylinders, a special incentive to finish in the top five will be on the line.  Those that finish in the top five on Friday night will earn a guaranteed starting spot in Saturday night's higher-paying special events.

Saturday July 30th will boast a $3,000-to-win show for the Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, $1,000-to-win in the Grit Series 'Slobberknocker' which has been added to the Super Gen Products Grit Racing Series American Racer Tour schedule.

The Fight Night All-Star Street Stock Series has added an event to their schedule as well on this night, paying $750-to-win.  The Four Cylinders will race for $500-to-win in a challenge event between rear wheel drives and front wheel drives.

The traveling CRSA 305 Sprints will also be on the card for Saturday night's program.  A great opportunity for the 305 brigade to tackle the 'Fast Four-Tenths-Mile' with Canandaigua Motorsports Park having the night off.

"We set this weekend up on the basis that several area tracks have Saturday the 30th off for differing reasons," said Siri.  "With that being said, we are ready to offer a place to race that weekend with some awesome purses and a destination to camp out for the weekend."

Camping at Outlaw Speedway is free of charge, with the camping area having been expanded over on the east end of the property off Turns 3 and 4.  Part of the cleanup process for 2016 was cleaning up that area of the track where old equipment and scrap material had once called home.

The concert portion of the event on Sunday July 31st will feature a Nashville recording act that will be named in the very near future.  Two additional local country acts have been contacted as openers and will also be announced on the Outlaw Speedway Facebook page.  A car show and activities for all ages are being planned for Sunday in the early afternoon, with the concert slated to go into the late afternoon/early evening hours.

For now, save July 29th through the 31st on your calendars!  Outlaw Summer Jam 2016 will be an event to remember for the rest of the summer season.

More information will be forthcoming on this event, stay tuned to www.outlawspeedwayllc.com for future Summer Jam updates.
