For Immediate Release – April 28th, 2016
(DUNDEE, N.Y.) - Outlaw Speedway is ready to officially open up for the 2016 season with the running of American Legion night at the speedway. Last week's rain washed out the season opener, moving the grand opening to Friday night as all divisions will see on-track action.
Special dignitaries from the American Legion will be on hand to participate and take in the action on the 'Fast Four-Tenths-Mile'. They will participate in opening ceremonies, with their colors proudly displayed. Speedway officials have also decided to donate a portion of the 50/50 proceeds to the local Dundee, NY American Legion post.
Race fans are reminded that their rain checks are good to either use this Friday or to save them for Friday May 20th, when the Outlaw Spring Nationals will be made up. The 50/50 tickets from last week's rainout will be added to the Friday May 20th 50/50 in what should be a massive winner's pot.
The Friendly Dodge and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds will kick off their 2016 campaign with their weekly payout of $2,000-to-win and $200-to-start. Names like Tyler and Jordan Siri, Alan and Danny Johnson, defending champion Steve Paine, Donnie Lawson, Brady Fultz, Gary Tomkins, Steve Gray, Derrick Podsiadlo and many more are ready to tackle Outlaw Speedway.
The Modifieds will be joined by the Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Deli Bandits. Who will take the first checkered flags of 2016 at the all-new Outlaw Speedway? You'll have to come out Friday night to find out!
General admission is just $12 and the main gates swing open for the grandstands at 5PM.
