For Immediate Release – April 12th, 2016
(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – More and more local businesses are seeing the leaps and bounds Outlaw Speedway has taken this offseason to transform the four-tenths-mile clay oval, into the premier dirt track facility in the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier.
Companies like Suburban Propane have seen the value their advertising dollars will have at a facility like Outlaw Speedway, and have made a commitment to be a big part of that future.
Over the weekend, Suburban Propane and Outlaw Speedway struck a two-year deal to become the fuel sponsor for all Outlaw Speedway track equipment as well as the official propane provider of the speedway for both of the busy concession stands that are on site.
“This is another example of a great community partner in Suburban Propane, seeing the vision and drive of speedway owner Tyler Siri and the rest of the staff,” said Outlaw Speedway Marketing and Sales Manager Peter Meskill.
“Businesses share in our excitement which is only going to transfer to the fans, teams and drivers come April 22nd at the Outlaw Spring Nationals. Fans may not recognize some parts of the facility with all of the upgrades and polishing we have done over the last two months.”
Suburban Propane is no stranger to Outlaw Speedway- they have sponsored the track off and on for many years, most recently sponsoring a Modified special held at the speedway in 2014 under the direction of then-promoter Dan Harpell. With Siri purchasing the speedway and solidifying the speedway’s future, Suburban chose to support that vision with a two-year contract.
Outlaw Speedway will now feature the Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ford Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders and Winner's Circle Deli Bandits. The opening Outlaw Spring Nationals on Friday April 22nd will be historic as the Modifieds will race for $3,000-to-win in leg number one of three for the Insinger Performance/Sunoco Race Fuels Outlaw Challenge.
If the Modified winner that night can also win the Outlaw Fall Nationals and Dutch Hoag National Open, they will take home an eye-popping $25,000. The Friendly Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ford Modifieds will also race for $2,000-to-win on a weekly basis and receive a minimum of $200 for taking the green flag. The track champion of the division will receive a $5,000 championship for their efforts.
Joining the Modifieds during the Outlaw Spring Nationals will be the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, led by 6-time and defending tour champion Steve Poirier. The first full points race for the ESS 360's will take place on this night with the tour racing for $2,000-to-win, $250 to take the green and the dash being sponsored by longtime supporter Lane's Yamaha out of Watkins Glen, NY.
In fact, Dundee, NY resident 'Mr. ESS' Malcolm Lane holds the all-time record for ESS wins at the facility known over the years as Dundee Raceway, Black Rock Speedway, Yates County Speedway and now Outlaw Speedway in 2016. With other tour regulars Jason Barney, Sammy Reakes IV, Paul Kinney, Matt Tanner and Chuck Hebing hungry for their first wins of 2016, this show will be a cannot miss!
The Super Gen Products Grit Series will also be on tap for a thrilling 602 Crate Sportsman event that falls on their 2016 American Racer Tour schedule. Casey Pavlick looks to defend his recent Grit wins at Outlaw Speedway as well as his second-straight track championship in 2015.
