Christmas Comes Early For Outlaw Speedway; Super DIRTcar Series, 410 Sprints Coming In 2017

(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – Fans of Dundee, NY’s Outlaw Speedway received a few early Christmas gifts this offseason. Two monster races have been added to the 2017 schedule with the announcement of the big block modified Super DIRTcar Series and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprints.

For the first time in series history, the big block modified Super DIRTcar Series will invade the ‘Fast Four-Tenths-Mile’ located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Country, when they compete in the Ultimate Outlaw 100 on Tuesday June 20^th. The DIRTcar Sportsman and Fight Night All Star Street Stock Series will also join the card on this historic night.

A brand new clay surface, with increased banking will welcome names like Matt Sheppard, Danny Johnson, Brett Hearn and Stewart Friesen. Several of these names have competed at Outlaw Speedway before, but few competed back when the 358-Modified series was competing at then-named Black Rock Speedway under the DIRTcar banner.

One month later, Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will compete alongside a Regular Six Show on Friday July 28^th. This will be the first visit for the 410 All Stars to Outlaw Speedway and will also be the first 410 sprint car race that has ever taken place at the speedway. Stewart himself has competed at Outlaw Speedway and visited last August during Watkins Glen weekend- prompting a desire to see the 410’s compete in Dundee.

“These two show are going to be dynamite shows in 2017,” said second-year owner/promoter Tyler Siri, who enters his second season of track ownership in 2017.

“We want to bring our fans the best of the best, so to do that we have reached out to DIRTcar and the Arctic Cat All Stars. The competition level, matched with our new surface will make for racing you won’t want to hear about the next day at work. You’re going to want to see them in person!”

Other events in 2017 that are being planned include six 360 sprint car shows, all of which Siri will competing in with his new sprint car being prepared by Malcolm Lane. The RUSH Crate Dirt Late Model Series will make their first trip to Outlaw Speedway on Gary Montgomery Memorial Night. The cannot miss $12,000 Fireworks Show is planned for Friday June 30^th, just one week after the track goes quiet for local graduation ceremonies on June 23^rd.

But before 2017’s story can be written, there is one final chapter to be written for the 2016 race season. That chapter will be written on Saturday January 28^th, 2017 at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel for the season ending awards banquet.
