MAY-DAY! Black Rock Rained Out for Friday, Patriot Sprints Reset for May 15

Throw out the thought of April Showers bringing May Flowers. A storm moving in on the early part of the weekend has cancelled the May 1 show at Black Rock Speedway and pushed the ASCS Patriot event back to May 15, as originally scheduled.

With a forecast calling for inches of rain, the decision has been made early to pull the plug on the first show of May, saving the race teams the aggravation of waiting out the inevitable.

Black Rock will resume action on May 8, where the $1,000-to-win Enduro and $300-to-win Ladies 4-cylinder Challenge have been moved. The night of action will still include a Super 6 Racing Card plus the Spectator 1-on-1 races as scheduled. The Ladies 4-Cylinder Challenge will be run at the end of the night to increase participation.

The Lucas Oil ASCS Patriots will move back to the originally scheduled date of May 15. The second Firefigther’s Enduro will still be part of the night, along with a Super 6 Racing Card.
